Indexing product velocity and one-shot incorporation
Y Imitator batch W26 · payments by Pinstripe
00 · Abstract
An index, and a company in one prompt
techhype.app maintains a live ranking of products by public velocity and offers a one-shot incorporation flow. In most proposed markets a category leader already exists. We treat that match as the relevant fact for a founder, and we stand up operations against it — site, headquarters, and payments — in a single session.
01 · Literature
Five stories, one feed
The same week’s coverage will treat a training run as an energy shock, a labor shock, a national-security deadline, a valuation event, and a step toward abundance or toward loss of control. Water use and watts sit next to genome memos. Agent demos sit next to unemployment drafts. None of these frames is a ranking of what shipped. The index is the ranking. Ratings and markets hold the rest of the feed.
02 · Method
Velocity, then a match
Hype score is a weighted mix of public growth, source breadth, and recency. The one-shot flow embeds the founder’s description and returns the highest-scoring incumbent in the same category. Generation is conditioned on that incumbent so the resulting company is legible in a market that already prices the job.
03 · Economics
Usage, not a token
There is no network token. Listings are free to submit. Featured placement is a flat monthly rate. Incorporation infrastructure is billed as usage. Card payments are processed by Pinstripe. Y Imitator companies in the current batch receive credits against HQ seats.
04 · Outlook
What is priced elsewhere
Timelines to general capability, net labor impact, and energy load are plotted on the ratings map and priced as event contracts. Those contracts are not securities and are not advice. The index reports what moved. The incorporation flow reports who already does the job.
